Our 12 year old brood is at the vets right now getting a biopsy of a tumor that popped up on her head while we were in Dewey. The vet said it didn't look or feel good, so he's prepared us for bad news, but he did agree that we needed to know exactly what it is. She should be home in a little while. I'm on pins and needles, and then we still have to wait for the results. We adopted Rachel just before her 8th birthday. She had a great career racing with the name Dreams N Wishes. After retirement, she became a brood with 3 litters. We also adopted one of her pups, Elvis. Elvis with his mom, Rachel.

Rachel is home and doing very well. Just a little groggy. We should know something by early next week. Thank you for the prayers, she can use all she can get.

She's doing real well, just like nothing is going on. Her appetite is excellent. I'm letting her out in the yard without her muzzle so I don't keep hitting the lump when I put it on.

That's great. Greyhounds adapt so easily. Give all your hounds a hug from me.

Sorry for the delay. Got the results earlier this week. Not good. She has Chondrosarcoma at the base of the ear. It sound aggressive, but we'll see. We're looking at options right now, but we're having a hard time wanting to put a 12 year old through anything this serious, and it would be major surgery.
